Unemployment: The end is near
Man, am I going to miss my unemployment! I've been a government leech for a year, and I gotta say, its been a blast. I graduate in a few weeks (!!!) which would be awesome save for some major snags:
1) The unemployment dies.
2) I can't take the licensing exam until August, which means I won't get my test results until Oct.. Thats a 5 month gap of no license and no job, and then....
3) BOOM! One month of being a legit LMT and I gotta start paying back the student loans.
So as much as I want to celebrate the whole gettin through 16 months of grueling massage school, there really ain't much to celebrate. I'm looking for reception jobs at spas, had a fantastic interview at Exhale, and was told "Great! We love you you're perfect, and we can give you 20 hours a week at $10 an hour!"
Terrific! $20k worth of school and I can earn less than what I was making in retail.
If anyone is hiring in this shitty job market or know of any odd jobs I can perform, do let me know.
