The Space:
+ $425+ roughly $100 in utilities per person.
+ Small room, fits dresser and twin bed, but not much else. Shelves built into the walls. No closet, but you can use the large one in the kitchen. Good sized window, nice view.
+ 6mos- 1 year. Move in April 1st.
+ In Sunset Park in a quiet, pleasant, safe neighborhood. 1.5 blocks from the D train on 9th Ave, 20 mins from W 4th st. 1 block from 24 hour laundromat, few blocks to Chinatown veggie shopping heaven.
+ Spacious 3 bedroom, lots of common space, 3rd floor walk up, AWESOME kitchen, terrific landlord.

Us:
+ We're 2 23 year old FTMs, veg & vegan, queer, employed, and generally pretty busy. Sometimes a small, quiet, well-mannered dog is around, too.
+ We drink, 420 sometimes, but rarely. We're also generally pretty healthy eaters.
+ We share condiments sometimes, but are typically proprietary with food.
+ We wash our own dishes, if we don't, we get roaches.
+ Not terribly dramatic or confrontational.
+ We watch TV sometimes when we're home. This is not a TV-free household.

You:
+ Trans-friendly, meaning you're familiar with basic trans issues and etiquette, as are any of your friends who may come by. LGBT preferred.
+ Clean, quiet, respectful, and reliable. Dishes done immediately and pitch in for TP, paper towels, etc. occasionally. Respect for other people's sleeping schedules a must in terms of noise. TV/stereo OK, just nothing crazy.
+ Must pay all rent and utilities on time. Must cough up 1 months security deposit plus 1st month's rent.
+ If you eat meat, use your own cooking stuff. Vegan/Veggie preferred.
+ Party responsibly, and do most of your partying outside the house.
+ Employed, or otherwise engaged. If you're a student or parent-supported, its cool, just don't be on the couch 24/7.
+ Sorry, no additional pets.

Interested? Tell us a bit about yourself, and if we like ya, you can come by to interview/ check out the place.

I would be looking to rent for six months. I'm a hair stylist relocating from the Maryland/West Virginia area. Lesbian. I'm pretty artsy. If I'm not working, you'll most likely find me painting or writing. I like my privacy and am very respectful of others'. I do eat meat, but very seldom, and using my own stuff isnt a problem whatsoever. I wouldnt be grilling up anything wild.
IF I would party it would most definately be outside the apartment. 420 friendly, helpful with cleaning, not a fan of roaches, no pets, and really into this.

If you have any other questions for me, ask away. Do you have any pics of the room/apartment?

Sounds good- I'm lacking pics of the room, but I do have some pics of the apt.

First, real quick: Some questions for you: Do you have a job/source of income/stockpile of savings waiting for you in NYC? Would you be able to meet in person for an interview/tour?

All of this came suddenly. A friend, aware of my apartment search, linked me to your journal, so as of this very day I'm employed in Maryland and have what's in my checking and savings accounts. I reckon finding a decent paying job in a salon in the city shouldnt be too difficult, but I would want to be sure before making any commitments, as I am sure you would agree. However I am cruising craigslist as I speak and would very much like to set up a time to meet with you to take a look a the place. Because of my current location, it is obviously not as easy to stumble on by to check things out. Next weekend might be easier for me to work in. I dont work Sundays and Mondays. Let me hear your thoughts.
Ps. my email address is kellychrystal@hotmail.com, perhaps you could hook me up with those pics. ;)
