Since Nic refused to call the shower sealing people, I called them and booked a 2 - 4 hour appointment on Monday starting from 12.30 - 1 pm. Too bad if she had plans! It also means no showers on Sunday. I am considering calling some solar panel people as well but Nic doesn't like all the technical stuff. Since we are heading towards more daylight hours I want to look at getting the PVs sooner rather than later. Would love for our $89 electricity bill to come down to nothing, like our $19.95 gas bill has since we got solar hot water.
Back to the shower - depending on how bad it is it should cost anywhere from $495 - $665, but will solve the problem of the damp walls. Apparently the walls will take 12 weeks to dry out so that they can be repainted. I want to totally re-do all the laundry cupboards so that certainly won't be happening in the next 3 months. I want some floor to ceiling cupboards in there which will significantly increase the storage space in the house (which isn't too shabby but it's always good to have more.
I shut the cats away in the laundry last night and it worked well. They didn't annoy me at all and I got a good nights sleep. Yay!
