Stargate Universe-- Before
Okay, I'm giving in. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but I am a huge Stargate fan. I've watched it since the very first episode of Stargate: SG-1 and I continued on to Stargate: Atlantis (so awesome).
Needless to say, I am wary of Stargate: Universe. The abrupt cancelation of SG-A while they continued with a new show has left a bad taste in my mouth because I seriously miss John and Rodney and the rest of the lot. I don't really see the point of a new show.
Nevertheless, I was wary of SG-A, too, but that turned out to be my favorite of the SG series (even if SG-1 will always be my first love). I have therefore decided to give SG-U a chance. They have one season to convince me that it's worthy my time and no more. One season.
So... while I wait for it to load so I can watch the first two episodes, I have decided to mention my worries before I watch it. I want good, solidly formed (and acted) characters, a decent plot (plot can always be improved on, after all), and proper continuation of the stargate canon. *sigh* I expect less.
Anyways, it's done loading so I'm going to watch it now. Wish me luck.
