i get really turned off when a guy (or anyone i'm not romantically interested in, for that matter) starts talking about how they are 'in a band'.
i work in an environment where artistic merit outside of the workplace is seen as a stamp of certified coolness, which may indirectly bring upon other sorts of benefits (social or otherwise). thank god there aren't that many of them types on level 27, but i can't tell you how it still annoys me to the hilt.
so yes, i hate people who talk about their stupid bands and make it sound like they're the coolest shit ever. because most of the time, their stuff probably stinks of vapidity.
take note, i said bands. people who do their own thing are still on my ok list.
