Here are some shots I took with my latest investment, the new-ish Sigma 17-70mm MACRO lens. It's probably my favorite lens to date, and a total steal for the pricepoint ($450). When I look at the fine detail on the originals at 100% magnification, I see indications that this lens is so sharp that it's exceeding the capabilities of the camera body sensor. It can go from wide angle to tele macro, while my other lenses separately cover different portions of this focal range. Forget the Canon 50mm, I'm taking this to the beach from now on!
