Woo I've been meaning to comment on all these pics... guess I will do this now.
I love this set because each image captures so much of the water itself. I'm in love with the ripples, all the delicate intricacies of the ocean itself. The plant life almost accents this for me. Especially in the last image... it's like a feeling of tranquility, with the plants swaying oh so gently beneath the water. The plants in the first image almost look strained, pulled to one side by some unseen force. And so on.
My idea for these sorts of pictures is to try and capture the ocean itself, if that's possible by shooting small squares of the water's floor and have those represent the landscape of Crescent Beach. I always get a sense of tranquillity from walking around in it, so it's correct that I was trying to convey that... the challenge will be to show the water and seaweed in as many different ways as possible without making it repetitive for the audience.
thanks, i dig it too. the second one wasn't taken with the others, but from a few outings ago. I was browsing over those older pictures and viewing the alternate shots of certain subjects, and i was surprised that I didn't notice it then.
