Christian Steeples.

Has anyone ever been praying while they begin to see an image engraved in there minds? Well during my prayer time today when i was in the middle of prayer God sent me a image on the back of my eyelids. I don't know where it came from but this image is used to widely today, sometimes i think to widely. This image is of the cross on a steeple, to the highest part of any church usually. The steeple is supposed to remind us of no matter how far from it we are we are supposed to be able to see it. See it for miles away sometimes and then others we see it when we come up to the church. Well we have as Christians take on the role of the steeple. You see God sent his son to this world to die for our sins and give us something to live for to just make it short. Before Jesus died on the cross he was the walking steeple. He walked around and showed the people on the earth the good in their lives, he also touched many people and healed them from sickness. So when he died on the cross he left his steeple here when we accept him as our Lord and Savior. We accept the responsibilities of a Christian to be a steeple. We sometimes wear crosses on our necks, arms, and ankles, or on our rings. Why do we wear it? Do we show why we wear it or is it just something do to look good? When we wear this cross as christians we are supposed to be wearing it to show the love of Jesus in our hearts, we are supposed to take our cross when Jesus died to follow him. As i said earlier the steeple on a church is the highest thing usually on their, as christians we are supposed to be like steeples. We are supposed to be shining so bright and so tall above everyone else to seek the lost, and be there for them to come to us when they have no where to go. The steeple is like the lighthouse on earth and with Jesus living in our hearts he will turn our shinning light around the earth. Christians we are supposed to be like steeples, and show the love of God, we are supposed to be as close to God as possible to help the ones who aren't . We must fulfill our daily duties and begin to walk with God if we haven't already. Jesus died for ALL of us, and we should explain that to people. So when we are in the crowd of people next time in class, school gym, or even at the grocery store think about being a steeple, being high above them and allowing the non-christians to be like, i want to be up there with him. So that maybe they will come to you and allow Jesus into their hearts. So as i close this message i pray that you will rise up and take your cross and follow him, raise that cross high like on the steeple, and show the Love of God around you, allow Jesus to show people his love for you in your heart and may it show to others. Christian, how high is your steeple? Are you below everyone because you don't want everyone to know your a christian, are you in the middle because your are a Christian some days and others your not, or around some people and others you are? Or are you HIGH up in the air where EVERYONE can see your cross, because the Love of Jesus is flooding your hearts and everyone is like "i want what he has" and then as you walk you see more and more HIGH steeples because of God's multiplying spirit. Today i know why he had that image of a cross in my eyes, we are supposed to be the steeple and show everyone that is below us that has no cross or has a steeple and isn't showing it. Don't be afraid your a christian. Scripture says in Matthew "Matthew 16:24 - Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." Matthew 10:33 - "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." I pray that this message has or will help you in your daily walk with Christ, it will in mine.God Bless,Darre Rayburn
