It is a downright injustice and irresponsible decision to not be informed within the society we are citizens of. There a lot of things happening in our world that will soon affect YOUR lives more than those making the decisions. It is our time. We are the future, people, wake up and see this. Our responsibilty is great and acting now may be the only chance at changing our world for the better. We need to plan ahead, to use this vast fountain of knowledge (while it exists) to understand all we can and plan ahead to work progressively as those before us have done seldom if at all. Imagine, not having to make mistakes to learn the most important lessons of our lifetime. The very life-blood of history is at your fingertips right now. It doesn't even take great effort. Imagine if you and each person you know reads one article from a world news page, then later, for reasons of intellectual pleasure and the pleasure of debate/ opinion expression and formulation discuss different articles of news and politic. Without reading at great length, and without any burdun, you and everyone you know will not only enjoy intellectual conversation (which is very fulfilling as we all know), but start forming opinions and ideas that will save us from ourselves and those in power now when the time comes, IF NOT BEFORE! Let's change our direction as a particularly disgraceful generation (I call it the The Eighties Two), and start moving towards the most unprecedented benefit to human kind, and hopefully the Earth itself. We have the power and means to make the entire world peaceful, educated, rational, and most of all equal.
I say this again, more precisely worded, we have the power and means to make this entire world a community, and the best world status since the beginning of recorded history.
