my sister is so sad tonight. i got home and we went into my room so i could try on my dress and she started crying. it makes me sad. sometimes i think we share the same soul. hmmm

Hey there. I can say these things. I am lucky to have a good relationship with my dad. It is definitely something that you want to try and have, no matter how angry you might be now, or how bothersome and trivial it seems because there are other people in both of your lives. You obviously care about it genuinely; I don't see that you are 'caring' about it just because he is your dad, which means you want something from him, and you haven't gotten it yet. Sure, he's made bad decisions, and he's made decisions that seem to crap on you, but chances are he didn't realize their effect. Maybe it's adults, or just dads with daughters, that don't think their daughters notice things. Girls are different from boys. We can't be handled the same way, and I think every girl with a father in their lives struggles with that everyday. Maybe the distance you feel is your wake up call. Maybe you should tell your dad that you feel distant. He's still a boy, and sometimes they just don't get it! Sad, but true. I'll try to give you anything you need, your sister, too. Indecision blows, too. You're not evil. I'm not shittin' you on that, either. I believe you'll be stronger at the end of this confusion(or at least partway through it)no matter what happens. You have all of my support and encouragement.
