I see the future before my eyes

It's the weekend... and I'm at the lab... again.

Funny thing, though, is that I don't really mind it.  I enjoy depriving myself of precious sleeping hours just so I can conduct experiments that ultimately fail over.....and over.... and over.... and over.... and over again.  Then again I live a boring life, especially being in a long-distance relationship, so I have nothing better to do with my time than go into lab!

But I guess that's not entirely true.  I do "stuff" every once in awhile.

For instance, there's softball.  I love my team.  We just like to have fun, even if we do suck and lose horribly (we are now 2-2).  We have a game this afternoon.  It may be our last... we have to win to go to the playoffs.  I highly doubt we'd win the playoffs, but it would be awesome to play at least one more game.  I got a gnarly bruise from the game last week!!  I was trying to catch a fly ball, but I totally missed the ball with my glove and the ball ended up hitting my thigh instead!  The bruise is almost the size of my thigh.

What great timing too because we ended up going to Santa Cruz the next day!  So I walked around the beach with a huge-ass bruise on my leg.  Sexy.  Santa Cruz was a lot of fun.  I hadn't been there in like 5 years.  It was also nice to lay around in the sun and just spend time away from the city.  Crazy times, though... my friends were going to their car to drop off their beach stuff before meeting us at a restaurant for dinner when they witnessed a gang fight.  One gang guy got beat pretty badly and another got shot... if the shooter would've missed, the bullet would've sailed right towards my friends.  Scary, huh?

Well I gotta cut this short.  My lab work is calling me.  Peace.
