first day as a real college student...
well everything started out ok i guess...
6:15am - alarm goes off and wakes me from a VERY good dream...grr...long story but it had SCC in it...lol
7:30am - left home...heck i even missed all the red lights on main street...and found a decent parking spot...yea it was 10 minutes from anything...but it was better then the lots that are 30 minutes from civilization of the university...
8:30am - English 111...found the room without any problems...and the proff let us out early...so no complaints...woo hoo...
9:00amish-3:30pm - spent all that time in the commuter lounge...hung out with some people i knew from church and was a "visiter" at a table in the lounge that is known as "the commuters of the round table" it is a motly group to say the least...met alot of um...interesting people...and a couple that are even odder then i am...go figure... most of them are technology junkies...at one point there were 7...count them 7 laptops on the table...there is one outlet, there was alot of shuffling the chargers...lol...just for the record...i did NOT have my laptop...so i wasn't one of them... I guess you have to be there a week to be considered "part of the group" so i am still a visiter...
3:30pm - had astronomy class with the same 25 people that i had class with all weekend for this freshman values class thing that was required...it was ok i guess...
4:30ish - went back to the union to have dinner...chatted with rebekka...sat around the lounge...
6:15ish - walked to the math/science building for my math class...got there and noticed that the class was still in session...sat outside to read...
6:30 - the time class was supose to start...to my knowlage... class still in sesison...pulled out schedule to double check everything...schedule reads as follows
MATH 112 M020 College Algebra 1
Class times Mon, Wed. 6:00p -7:15p
Tues. 8:00p -9:30p
well i think what happened is obvious...i felt like the complete idoit that i am... didn't want to be rude and interupt...nor did i have the currage to interupt even if it hadn't been the rude thing to do...picked up my bookbag...and went home... oh did i mention that this class has a "1st day attend policy"...and now that i am re reading everything on my schedule i noticed that at the bottom of that class it says "T Evng Exam/Graph Galc" does that mean the same to you as i am getting the impression of?...i think it means that the only time we have class on tuesdays is for exams...but i am not sure...according to her schedule of all the classes she teaches it says that the class im in isn't the only one that has the whole "Tues. 8-9:30 'T Evng Exam'" thing...and they are in different rooms...so she is in two places at once?....
*crys* IM CONFUSED!!!
and to top it all off...my mother is acting like i ment to do it...i chose to miss class...and by me spending my free time there...it study when i get hw...that "ITS A WASTE OF YOUR TIME...YOU COULD BE COMING HOME...BLAH BLAH BLAH..."
hmm...last time i checked...
1. by the time i got home i would have to go right back...
2. odds are once school really gets going i am going to have to use that time to do work...not spend it driveing back and forth...
3. at bg if you leave in the middle of the day...you will NEVER get another parking spot...
4. you know what...right about now i would rather be at school...just so i don't have to put up with that....
