Dude. I found that Ian McKellen has a blog, and I'm reading his hobbit entries.
And right now I'm on
this entry.
"Could I let Gandalf go? Would anyone else care if I did? Elsewhere, does anyone care that Michael Gambon was not the first to play Dumbledore?"
Uhm... how about:
NO. YES. DUH.
A new Dumbledore wasn't so bad.
But I can't even fathom in my deepest imagination a different Gandalf besides Ian.
I just can't. And I couldn't help but to out right laugh at his assumption. I understand where he's coming from, talking about how "sequels aren't as rewarding as the originals". But I wonder if he, as well as other actors, really understand that thousands, if not millions, of fans love their characters. I sures the know I'm not the only one who wants Ian to be the only Gandalf.
Kinda like how Miki-chan will be the only Rukia. They're just so much a part of their role, that it's hard to separate them or replace them. It's just impossible.
