I suppose I should preface this with a statement: I love my computer.
I love my computer, because (in all it's incarnations as it's been rebuilt/upgraded/etc), it has lasted me since about 2002. My computer is eight years old, and has been upgraded now about five times.
The last time was when I was living with Rick and James...and it became the following:
1.8 GHz AMD Sempron Processor (single core)
1 GB of RAM
160 GB Parallel IDE Hard Drive
GeForce 7300 GT Video Card with 512MB of onboard RAM
It did well...and it allowed me to play the various games I wanted to play.
But it was always a bit behind, and a little slow.
I haven't been able to upgrade it until now.
1.8GHz Single-Core Sempron -> 2.8GHz Athlon II Dual-Core
1 GB of RAM -> 2 GB of 1066 DDR2 SDRAM
160 GB Parallel IDE Hard Drive -> 250 GB Serial Hard Drive
GeForce 7300GT / 512 MB RAM -> GeForce 220GT / 1 GB RAM
I can now sit back, relax, and enjoy all of my favorite games the way they're SUPPOSED to look...and I can do alot of my schoolwork from home.
*relaxed sigh*
