Things I thought while....
...cleaning the washing machine's soap drawer cavity:
How the hell did this get so filthy?
I didn't even think the soap powder was supposed to get to this part of the machine
And we don't even use soap powder!
I hope the washing machine monster isn't angry
I can see it now, just like an episode from the X-Files
Cut to me thrusting my hand into the gaping soapy cavity
Close up of my face as I feel something grab my hand
Terror reigns in my eyes for a brief moment before.....
There's a long shot of my kitchen with the washing machine hidden from view
Sounds of my garbled screaming mix with the thumping sound of the machine on lino as the camera pulls back and out of the front door.
Then there's just silence until Romilly comes home after the weekend
All that remains is an ominous looking, slightly bloodied slipper sticking out of the cavity where the soap dispenser should be.
....
I wonder whether mr lovely eyes and gorgeous curls will call me over the weekend
Oh, it's clean, wonderful.
