Weekend Stuff

So Friday night I got to see the Iris/Seabound/DeVision concert at Elysium. I had such a great time. Since Naomi and me are graduating, I decided to treat her to a concert ticket. We met a couple of guys there while we were standing in line to get into the club. One of them recognized both me and Naomi from other places. It seems as though he ventures to clubs I've been to. He remembers me from clubbing in DC and in Philly. He remembered Naomi from the clubs where she used to live in CA. It's a really small world.

I stayed out really late Friday night, but I had to be up for an appointment at my house at 9am on Saturday. I decided last week to refinance my house from a 30-year to a 15-year mortgage and to try to lower the interest rate. I was able to change that from 6.25% to 4.25%. So that meant that they needed to send an appraiser out to check out my house for the paperwork. 9am was way too early after clubbing till 3am, but it needed to be done.

At 1pm I had to drive to North Austin to go to my interview for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. They hope to match me up with a "Little" within the next 3 months. I have to go to an orientation training class too in Feb.

Today I'm gonna veg at the house and play LotRO. I also didn't like the new church I tried out last week. It made me feel like I was sitting in a High School gym. So I'm going to try out the one downtown today at St. Mary's Cathedral. I looked inside once before when my parents came to visit me, so I'm pretty sure I'll like it.

Tonight is 80s night at Elysium, so I'll be going to that. I hope that asurasunil is out tonight so I can buy him drinks for his birthday that was this weekend. I missed out on the get together Althea was planning for him last night because I got the invite late. I was kinda bummed about that. Oh well... maybe I'll see them at the club tonight.

Tomorrow we are off work for Martin Luther King's birthday observation, so I'm going to go to Kerrville to visit an old high school friend. I'm finally getting to explore the area. Yaay!
