About time my voice is heard
America and I havent been getting along for awhile. I havent liked alot of choices in the last 8 years and i am so happy that some change is coming to washington. I think most people even if the voted diffrently then me have felt diffrently about the world that we live in. I mean for christsake captian america is dead. Yes, i know comics arent real but i feel that it speaks alot to what is going on in our world and the way i see it.
I am very excited about the changes that are happing in america and i cant wait to do my part.
The two states that i care the most about both voted for obama.
I have been anti america for so long i think i forget how to be pro it. Its hard i am someone who heart and soul really supports the democratic party. My belives and the way i want to see the world is connected more closely to them then the reds.
I have found it hard to feel like i was good person for a long time. I have been afriad to speak out about a war that i didnt support because i am viewed as anti-american and not supporting your troops.
I think this is a great time. What makes it better for me is many things.
1) Sharing this with my wife. We are both democrates and as many of you know it has been tough in years past with jessica who very clearly is on the other fence.
2) Senator Mcain came out and spoke so well about obama and i was really proud of his statements. Regardless, of his and i path for the future. I have alot of respect for the man and i am happy that he went out there and give president obama the support he needed for this country.
3) The republicans - I have heard for so many years about how higher class they are and how if americans would just pay attention and use there brains we would all see it that way. Well during this election i didnt see it. Now i am not speaking for all repuclicans out there. Some of my dear friends are republicans and i will state all my friends who supported McCain and the Repulicain party handled it with pride and dignity. However, the ones i who post on there live journal and myspace with the amount of hate in them is sad. The booing when mcain was attempting to speak. This is a outrage and you should be ashamed of yourselfs. Grow up.
4) Being informed- Every year i feel i am more and more informed and i am so happy that i went out of my way to do the research need to look into the things that mattered most to me. I am so happy that change has come.
