Corporations using behavioral science

Feb 24, 2013 13:25

Although I'm pretty sure I've heard of this before it's still pretty disturbing. Corporations use behavioral science about habits and patterns to predict what people are going to buy and what conditions in their lives will lead them to that. Apart from the amount of information they know about you, which itself is disturbing, it's freaky to see how they predict parts of your lives from the information.

It's well into the type of stuff that should get me feeling upset, and probably does on some creepy, subconscious level. Things like this are a big part of why I feel anxious and nervous most of the time.

How corporations can learn way too much about you and use it
