I hope we brought enough body bags!

Where have I been the past two days?

Well...for starters, I found a home for healforscience, and I'm so OMFGEXCITED YOU HAVE NO IDEAR. It's probably really bad that I didn't do so until a week before I head back to school, but...eh. I'll find a way to manage my time. Now to go find him some cool userpics! (I really like his default right now, but that's actually it.)

I played a LOT more TF2 today. Sheesh, is it addicting. I realized I'm a really crap demoman, and an even worse sniper, but a decent pyro, an okay medic, and best at engineer. There was a great round where the RED team was just me and another Engineer, but we managed to keep the entire BLU team at bay, which, for some reason, was five people, but we only had two. (I thought it autobalanced and forced people to switch teams if it was too unfair, because it did that yesterday, but whatev.) However, for SOME REASON, my PS3 isn't saving my stats. It says stats are tracked, but nothing shows up whenever I go to the main screen to check them. I don't know, maybe I'm supposed to save them somehow? D:

Also, I started Devil May Cry 4. Ah, the Devil May Cry series. The Over-the-top-excuse-me-I'm-busy-being-badass series. Let me start off by saying that Devil May Cry 3 is still one of my favorite games ever, despite not being an RPG. Devil May Cry games in general are so ridiculous in their stunts, that it's an awesome kind of hilarious. I guess the thing I can relate it to best is Metal Gear Solid. Even though Metal Gear is a different type of game, it's the same kind of lulz.
However, I don't really know how I feel about this cast change. Sure, I know Dante will be playable later, blah blah blah, but I don't really see any reason to give half a shit about Nero or his love interest. I just want to know why the hell Dante decided to break in and start causing chaos. I don't want to watch Nero go on a little adventure.

Also: FFFF I HAD THIS PROBLEM IN RATCHET AND CLANK, BUT IT WASN'T NEARLY AS BAD: WHAT IS WITH ALL THE SPEC MAPS? Fucking everything is shiny. Water is shiny, windows are shiny, people's eyes are shiny, the side of a dilapidated building is shiny. DEAR NEXT-GEN DEVELOPERS: STOP IT. You don't need spec maps on everything! It looks BAD. Besides, if you only put spec maps on stuff that's supposed to be shiny, you'll be saving yourself some time and memory space. That memory space could go to shadow maps or higher texture resolution, or something!

Oh, and I've got work again in a few hours. It's a stupid shift too, because I hate working Sundays. I don't know why, but Sunday shoppers are always the pushiest crowds. Good thing it's my last day before I head back to school.
