Carly and Sam. They're adorable and have magical hair. What's not to love?
And yes, I do intend to mostly ignore everyone but the lovely leading ladies here.
iSaved Your Life
Carly looks about two seconds away from throwing that bra across the room. It's a very 'Megan Parker disapproves of everything about you' face.
Carly's face says, “My girlfriend, she's so absurd sometimes.”
THIS. Look at them. Actually, through this whole sequence the girls are just plain adorable. I'm not a big fan of the actual iCarly webshows within the show because they remind me of the straight up ridiculousness of The Amanda Show and how it doesn’t exist anymore and that’s just depressing. But this whole scene, Carly was being adorably indulgent while Sam was being adorably Sam. Approved.
And here we see who wears the pants in this relationship. Er, bunny suit.
“Up against the wall.”
Sam's used to this position by now.
I- I don't even know what to say here. Sam's face says it all.
This isn't strictly Cam related, I just think Sam's hair looks extra magical here.
Maybe that's why Carly and Freddie were relatively unharmed (just a broken arm/leg) cause the magic of Sam's hair protected them from the worst of it.
I stand by my idea that Sam should wear camo at all times. She looks ready to go after someone hardcore in this getup.
Also, flirty smile at Carly. It’s the embodiment of :D
Sam looks so concerned that something's not right. Her girlfriend’s acting weird and she wants to know why. And magical hair.
Carly’s all embarassed smiles and manic guilt that she cheated on her girlfriend kissed Freddie to convince him to be her fake boyfriend as cover.
Capped just for the pretty. I can’t help myself!
“No need to be jealous, he's only my beard,” Carly explains.
Yeah, Sam’s so not into seeing her girl locking lips with another guy. On the other hand, Freddie sure does look smug. Does he know he's just their cover?
Sam checking out Carly as she leaves. Freddie's catching on. After this point, we don't get much Cam interaction, just alot of...
...Sam interfering in Carly's relationship so she can have her all to herself. She fesses up to her epic affair with Carly plants seeds of doubt in Freddie's mind to break them up.
I love it when the kids play this. I imagine Carly chilling on her own playing Violin Hero all the time.
And Carly in dresses. Love.
Carly is stunned that Freddie knows about her and Sam not expecting Freddie to break it off with her.
At least Sam’s waiting in the wings.
You know, for an episode was supposed to be all about Carly/Freddie, I was surprised at how much Cam subtext there was. Maybe I'm just reading too much into things and maybe iCarly has done things to my mind to keep me from thinking straight. Or clearly. But still. Right?
iWas a Pageant Girl
Pouty faces.
They're like thisclose to each other, too. It's not like they even need to be to fit into the frame or something. The whole left side of the screen is empty. If they kept an appropriate distance, poor Freddie would be able to frame his shot correctly.
Aww, getting the baby used to dynamite at a ripe young age. They'll be such good mommies.
They look so badass here, like they're just too cool for school.
Tara mentions Sam's ex-girlfriend. Sam is not pleased.
Sam beats the ever living crap out of a can of lentils. What are lentils, anyway? Are you really supposed to eat them out of a can? With a straw? Somehow, I doubt this.
Sam is upset that her ex wouldn't let her win one stinking beauty pageant, that bitch. This was one point of contention that lead to their break-up.
Carly is so shocked that Sam never told her about her ex her secret past life as a beauty queen.
She's even more shocked when Sam goes into convulsions when Carly refuses to exact revenge by finally besting the pageant girl at her own game.
They just look like fed up parents here and that amuses me.
Carly can't say no to Sam. It's physically impossible.
"Cancel that, cause you and me are going on a double date!"
Spencer asks Freddie to ditch his mom and go out with him.
This whole Fencer exchange reminds me of that Drake and Josh scene from the treehouse episode:
"Yes, I want you to double date with me! You in?"
"YEAH, I'm in!"
"Awesome!"
First, Josh/Freddie tries to back out, but Drake/Spencer convinces him with some physical contact.
Freddie can't resist Spencer. It's physically impossible.
Carly dress!
"How's it look?"
"Hot!"
Be more obvious, girls.
Sam is so thrilled at the idea of showing off her new gf to her ex, and Carly's so ready to show off. Rub it in her face, girls!
Then she gets offended that Sam doesn't appreciate her endowments.
Personal space? What's that?
"Not cool, we have girls coming over. Put it away."
"Okay..."
Spencer tells Freddie he has to put his *gun* away cause they're short on time. Maybe once the girls are gone...
"Wait, let me hold it."
This seemed all super suggestive. I approve.
And gratuitous touching.
Just look at that glare! Don't touch his boyfriend.
Gratuitous touching.
Sam is so over you, Leann.
(Hasn't this girl been on, like, Wizards of Waverly Place or something before? I'm too lazy to check IMDB right now, but I think she was the younger version of that art teacher in season 3.)
Carly just finds it amusing that she's not the only one who can't resist Sam.
"It's taken me years to get used to you."
Shouldn't the changing room walls be taller than that? I mean, I get that they had to be short enough for the whole dress exchange thing to work on camera, but really?
I just love them.
(AND LOOK IT'S BIG TIME RUSH)
Side hug!
I love how they're seated on the opposite side of the table from their dates but thisclose to each other.
The girls don't even know why they're still there. Spencer and Freddie are having much more fun by themselves.
I loved these two, though. The niece was adorable, and I love it when Spencer has a girlfriend. As strange as he is, he seems to have a kickin' love life.
"It's true, she does. She loves chicken."
She's so proud of her girlfriend. Look, she's beaming. And that line makes me laugh every time. I love that Carly's holding Sam's purse.
Shouldn't Carly know by now that Sam always has to have meat on hand?
FIBER NUTS. And gratuitous touching.
Is this not a hideous outfit? I... I just don't understand it. She's wearing June Cleaver pearls, a country rodeo belt and a skirt that's an entirely different shade of blue than her top which is just ugly. I really don't understand. Sam, I thought you had more taste than that.
I just have to say that I love this guy and this dress and those gloves and that hobo costume and this dance and this everything. Amazing.
They are just not on the same wavelength tonight. May I suggest couples therapy?
This episode was a ton of fun. I totally get why Jennette loves it so much.
