Ok. Here goes. The viral modification is simple. The hormone still promotes a sense of increased security. In fact I have exacerbated this aspect of its function. Now the adjacent cells will release the same hormone, not a diluted version. They will also begin to poduce more security drones and antibody swarms in response to this heightened threat.
Here is the kicker.
My modification has matched the 'self' Digital Nucleic Agents to my own battle shell. So every new swarm and battle shell the cells in this sector now produce wil consider everything but me, and their brood companions, hostile. If I am really lucky then the cell will loop and produce more combat units to deal with the new 'threat'.
Lets see how it goes.
