Most men, like myself, are simple creatures who try to treat girls the best way we know how.

Not true, Derek. If you actually think this, then you're really quite naive about people (either that, or you just like to put all the blame for what doesn't go your way on others). Maybe you treat women the best way you know how, but not every man does, and there are quite a handful who are willing to exploit members of the opposite sex (or same sex if that's their fancy) for personal reasons. The same goes for women.

But not all girls have to be "complicated" either. Maybe the ones YOU find are like this, whether you realize it or not, and your pain is self-inflicting. Like Carrie Bradshaw says (yeah, I've been really into Sex and the City these days), some women keep going for all the jerks and ignoring the nice guys. How can you say your situation is any different?

er i dont really believe in half the things i write. Anywho i believe my pain is self inflicting cuz i have a harder time letting go than most people do plus i get attached more easily. I think when i say "most men" im referring to most of my close friends. But men in general are chauvinistic self-centered pigs and girls, likewise, are pigs in their own way.
