So after much insistence from my brother (read nagging) and me wanting to stay as fit as I can during the winter I decided to try a SPINNING class. Spinning is basically a group of people on stationary bikes being modivated by a instructor while listening to music. A very positive atmosphere. Now, I LOATH excercise bikes. With a passion. Give me a treadmill anyday. That was the main reason I was apprehensive about taking a Spinning class. Anyways, there's a bike store a few blocks away that has a class. So I braced the good weather and walked over. Paid my $10 fee and spend an hour peddling away.
Conclusion. I enjoyed it. The instructor really made you want to be motivated. I set my own pace which is something I like. There were a few people there, but I didn't feel intimated. I'm well aware I'll never have a Lance Armstrong build, but I felt comfortable. I'm giving it a few more tries before I pay for a 10 session class.
This'll be fun :)
