I got an e-mail from the editor about my story. The anthology it's going to be in won't be published until May now. To tell the truth, I felt a March publication date was pretty ambitious, given the timing of their call for stories. Anyway, she's still doing first-round edits, so she probably won't get back to mine until she's done with those. I can be patient. I have plenty of projects to work on while I wait: a regency femmeslash story, a WWII slash story, and a MMF triad novel that I started back in September.
In school news, UCR is still reviewing applications, so I haven't heard anything about mine. I'm still hoping, but my trip to LA with umbralillium helped me realize that Cal State LA and USC would be feasible (just take the metrolink to the Cal State LA station or take it all the way to Union station and catch the shuttle to USC). Also, Redlands University would be a reasonable commute, so there still schools reasonably close to me if UCR doesn't accept me (though I'd really like to go to UCR).
