Look, there are a TON of leftist columns and media output because, generally the press is more liberal than not. Thats fine, it really is. But don't make this to a be a childish game, because its not. What happens when Bush screws up? The liberals jump all over it and say 'We were right about that pig!' but come on now, is that really what you should be cheering about? "Yay! Our country is even more fucked now! YAY!!!!!" No. So, please just take some of the gloating and sit down. I realize that the next president is almost guaranteed to be a democrat, and that if he just does some simple moves, his approval rate will be through the roof. Good for him!

I do not believe that it is a good thing to remove the troops from Iraq and/or Afghanistan in the method that is almost ensured. Everybody is happy with the idea of leaving and reducing troops over in the Middle East, but the problem is, we'd be screwing ourselves and screwing over innocent people by doing so. Not to mention, we'd be breaking a key UN policy, which almost every country that is part of the UN would resent us for breaking. In case you haven't heard what the UN policy is: A country can NOT enter another country in time of war or peace and remove its leader without staying to ensure that the country does not fall into anarchy. There is a huge chance that Iraq would fall, because they just don't have the full democracy setup and its not fully supported by the people. Secondly, we should not pull troops out unless we can get everybody pulled out within one week. I mean, everybody, the U.S, and all the supporting contractors, Blackwater included. If we just continually scale down our troops, attacks will increase by the terrorists and insurgents, and we will lose more men because we don't have the backup to defend them during the withdrawal.

Look, this isn't a contest to see who wins, this is about supporting our country, and I think a lot of democrats/liberals have forgotten that, and its a shame. The idea is that our country is supported by both parties is a good one, and yes, while the country is screwing up, I think that it is the responsibility of both parties to point it out. I would however, like to see it in some constructive manner instead of just straight up bashing. I'd like to know why its only the Republicans lately that are supporting the idea of America. I'm not saying that we're in good standing as a nation now, but I would still consider myself to be a Conservative because I like the methods that they choose to rebuild and establish with. Also, I'm not against any liberal ideas but lately it seems like they just aren't thought through. Not that the end result it bad, but the "how do we go from here to there without radically changing everything at once?"

First paragraph:

Noam Chomsky, an MIT professor of Linguistics and the most quoted living author today wrote a book called “The Myth of the Liberal Media”. He says in the book: “If you want to understand the way a system works, you look at its institutional structure. How it is organized, how it is controlled, how it is funded.” So we simply look to who funds all of our major networks: Big business. Big business is republican and conservative.

“We were right about that pig.” Strange line to use as it seems that line would be more fitting for Bill Clinton and his scandal. Which your Republican Right tried to impeach him for. A president can be impeached for: “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” Now, perjury is a high crime, and he got nailed for it. President Bush has committed treason twice. I say twice because there are a few dozen more cases that aren’t so black and white. The first one is the notorious WMD in Iraq bullshit, ironically it has since come out there were almost no reports supporting his claim and hundreds, by people who were on the inside saying there were no weapons. He lied to congress to take this country to war.

“Art. III Sec. 3: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort”

Levying war against them. Bam. Second treason? Valerie Plame. She was deep undercover as a CIA spy and someone authorized giving aid to enemies. Fantastic.

Basiclly I’m astounded you’re upset that people are hooting and hollering about all the bullshit our President has done and intends to do. Shouting isn't enough for the crimes he’s committed against our country. Shouting should a prelude to some sort of justice being brought against our President.

Second paragraph:

Another key of UN policy is not to forcefully remove the leader of a country without the consensus of the UN. Which we blatantly ignored. So when did we start caring what the UN says? You simply cannot cite the UN as a reason to keep a military presence in Iraq when if we had followed the UN from the start we wouldn’t be in this mess.

You speak of screwing ourselves and screwing over innocent people. That’s absolutely disgusting. Two reports, one that counts only the number of reported deaths of Iraqis (not insurgents or security forces)  puts the number at: 65,000 dead as a direct cause of our military intervention. The second report, released in October of last year by a team of American and Iraqi epidemiologists puts the death toll 655,000 more people have died AS A DIRECT RESULT of our the arrival of coalition forces in March 2003. You cannot use innocent Iraqis in your argument.

Third paragraph:

You think that it’s the responsibility of both parties to point out when someone is screwing up. The administration has done nothing but divided, put down, and slandered anyone that that spoke out about the way things were being handled. Simply put by an article in the TIME: “…(this) Administration has been dangerously mendacious and driven by ideology” Being driven by ideology is fine, but talking down to, and downplaying those who do not share your view is a terribly effective way to run the country the way you want with little problem. It should be noted that this method has a critical mass that it can reach where dissent overwhelms the leadership and things turn around. I think we’re nearing that point.

You say that republicans are the only ones that support the country now? I… I can’t even effectively address that, but I have some quotes that may help:

“The dangerous patriot...is a defender of militarism and its ideals of war and glory.”
~Colonel James A. Donovan, Marine Corps

“We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. When the loyal opposition dies, I think the soul of America dies with it.”
~Edward R. Murrow:

In a democracy, dissent is an act of faith.
~J. William Fulbright:

Without debate, without criticism, no administration and no country can succeed -- and no republic can survive
~John F. Kennedy:
