I, like every one else I know, am sick and tired of thesis. I stand behind my statement that thesis is the devil's form of education. I think I need to talk to Anne McKee about the devil's obvious control on our campus, haha.
I AM stressed...so many assignments, tests, papers, thesis deadlines, meetings, clubs, and events. I took on a lot of work this semester, and I can't complain because I did it willingly, I just didn't expect all of this responsibility from all of them.
For those of you out of the loop, Emily and Aaron are engaged! I am so excited for them! They know that they want to spend the rest of their lives together, and I think that is amazing! To be so confident in that decision, to know without a doubt that this is it...it's just wonderful! I know that they are perfect for each other, and I know that they will go from being two of my favorite people to one of my favorite married couples.
This weekend was pretty cool. We went horseback riding, which I loved!!! It was Buddy's first time to be on a horse, so she was pretty excited. Afterwards we went and got ice cream, then spent 2 hours at Walmart, and then ate at McAllister's where we ran into Katie, Allison, Zak, and Melissa. It was an amazing day! Then yesterday, we went to Target and spent too much money as usual. Then today, we went and had Chinese for lunch. We had to make up some Buddy time since she was gone most of last week, and I sure do enjoy it, although my wallet is a little sore.
I'm stressed out by school and other personal junk, but then I am silly and a little giddy (Buddy, you know why). I am just in a funny place I guess. I can't say that I am in a bad mood at the moment because I have been laughing all weekend it seems. It's helping me get over a few irritations that have been hanging around.
A few quick points:
1) Emails are amazing, but AIM is so much better. :)
2) Mo is the perfect name for a horse.
3) Stan was so right about Southern women.
4) My mom is bringing her boyfriend here for Homecoming, and I can't wait!!!
5) I think I got my pirate costume put together, or at least planned out.
6) I don't want to present a poster of my thesis on Friday, but apparently it is required.
7) Strawberries on chocolate ice cream tastes delicious!
8) I am not allowed to shop at Walmart without a shopping advisor anymore...I spend way too much money!
9) Pennsylvania is a pretty long way from Maryville.
10) I get to watch Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip tonight with Buddy, Briley, and Anna!!!
