I'm back for another try!

So I've been inspired by Lynnzie and am going to make a solid effort at writing more journals. I looked back at my other entries and enjoyed reading about my days. But the thing I found in common with all of them is that I write when I'm not doing too well and am feeling crappy. Funny thing is, I'm feeling a little of that today... okay, so it's not that funny.

I also read in my first journal, Nicole, that you will help me figure out more about doing LiveJournal. Well, I could use the help! I will seek your help later on. We already have a busy weekend ahead of us.

Here's a look into what has happened already this week:

-Nephew Derek's baptism, I am the Godmother! I got to hold Derek during the baptism, but later found out that my brother Matt, the Godfather, was supposed to have that honor. Would have been nice if someone told me that before I "yanked" Derek from my sister's hands.

-Had a pumpkin carving party at our house. It was nice having some of our close friends over to our house for the first time. I enjoyed getting slimy with pumpkin guts and carving my pumpkin, even though I didn't use my "creative juices" as Lisa would put it.

-Lost a lot of money, but don't need to share how that happened.

-Had a wonderful time at the Arizona State Fair with Luke, Nicole, Lisa, and Josh! We ate plenty of fried foods to hold us over until the next fair. I also accidentally got punched in the face by my husband, Luke. It involves a fun house, a turning pole, and my husband's fist. I came out of the fun house with a bleeding forehead. And let me tell you, it's no easy feat going through a fun house with crazy step contraptions half knocked out. Luke felt sooo bad. But the night ended well with great rides and fireworks.

That's it for now. Luke just came home from work with Dell Taco and we are about to watch "Over the Hedge".
