Bullshit

So I wanted a new phone, my mom wanted a phone for emergency use. So deal, I get a new phone, transfer my new number to the old phone and switch my number to the new phone. What wasn't mentioned was that I needed to delete my programs from the old phone before the switch took place. So I've been getting billed up the butt for things I don't have.

The following is an email I sent to a former co-worker about the situation.

So I finally made it to a store to have them look at my phone to verify the stuff was out of my phone.

They'll only go back 2 months. I called back again and argued the point that if their agent had mentioned needing to get rid of programs on the phone before the number switch it wouldn't have been issue. And asked how they expect someone to take a full day off of work, put their kids in day care, drive 45mins and sit in a store for a minimum of 2 hours, for something that takes 5 mins. So there talking to a supervisor to see if they go can back futher. I've been dealing with this crap since Dec.

I REALLY wanna just say screw them, pay the fee to get out, and go back to Alltel. But it would do me no good. I'd only be with Alltel for maybe a year, before they become Verizon. Verizon is now working on buying out Alltel, and should own them within a year. The Unicel/Verizon switch over should be complete within the next month or two.

So when that happens, get ready to bend over every month, they'll be able to charge whatever they want here, because who else has decent coverage in this area?? And they know we'll pay it because we've become to dependent on them. If it comes to it I'll get a prepaid to throw in the car for emergencies, and stick with using my Vonage. Then again, they'll probably get bought out too. The hell with it, I'm going back to smoke signals, and carrier pigeons, can't use the USPS, that never works for me. Hey, I could start my own Doggie Express, I've got enough "carriers" in training, a little slobber is much more tolerable than getting butt-raped by a phone company every month. LMAO

In other news I'm currently sitting on hold to get my Visa debit card canceled because their was an unauthorized/fraudulent charge on it. It was only $8.95 but I'm not taking chances. Went and pulled the rest of the mony off it, and am now canceling and getting a new card.I have no clue how they would have gotten this card number. But I got a name, he messed with the wrong person yesterday when the charge occured. I've reported it to the police, and taken every precaution necessary. FU fraud dude. And my card company will reimburse me the $8.95 if I can't get ahold of this company.
bonus.

Wish the cell place was more like that.
