Ow
So today I had a rather interesting experience to ad to my memories. I was riding on my bike home from work when all of a sudden I was hit by a car! It hurt. I'm ok though. My leg still hurts I think I may have pulled a muscle but I can walk fine and all I got were some bruises and a broken bike. The woman who hit me was driving a lexus. I was strongly tempted to make a huge scene and demand an ambulance and go for the gold so to speak... but my integrity is worth more than that. My grandmother and grandfather raised me better than that. I greatly admired Laura when she told about her accident with the drunk driver and her refusal to sue him though he probably deserved it. Today I got to see the strength of my own character and I'm happy to say I'll be sleeping soundly tonight. I did ask her for $100 to pay for my bike and $20 for my brand new work pants which were torn. She readily complied. I told her it covered my damages but got her insurance information and we had the police come and fill out a report just in case the injuries turn out to be more serious than I think. I'm pretty sure I'm fine though. The lady was getting so upset I actually got up and put my hand on her shoulder and comforted her! lol :P crazy :P I had my Papa come and pick my up. It's so nice to know I can count on him in tough situations. So that's it for tonight. It'll be a story I tell the grand kids someday when I'm a crazy rambling old lady... as apposed to a crazy rambling young adult :P
