(no subject)
i'm fairly positive now that the neighborhood folk think i could be a little insane, running down the middle of the road barefoot, trying to get to the other side of the neighborhood so that i could get pictures of the awesome sunset tonight. not that they haven't seen me do it before at least once or twice a month. unfortunately, tonight most of them came out...not good. the exposure must have been set pretty low. oh well on that! the korean guy that lives next to the PERFECT spot to take pictures of the sunset from came outside, smiled at me and asked, "you get good one this time?" as if he knew that most of the time i...do not. hahah. i looked over at him and said, "not sure, but we'll see!". he just nodded and ducked back into his house. heheh.
i'm starting to remember why i love danny elfman's music so much...it inspires me! sounds dorky, but it's true. i listened to music for a darkened theatre a bunch today, and it made me want to write again. also the reason i ran out into the street again to get pictures ^_^. woooo!
anyway, i had a good day today. slightly boring, but not unbearably so. i'm looking forward to DCI!! i'm really excited about the song we're writing for the band as well. well, sam's writing most of it...i helped a teeny bit! he's better at that stuff than i am, though. i can't just play this incredibly beautiful stuff off the top of my head on piano like he can. he's great at that! i just...listen to stuff and copy it. playing by ear is a lot of fun. i'm not great at it, but it's fun anyway to pick out stuff that you like. but yeah, the song is sounding really great so far! i'm excited to be able to sing it. also a little nervous. i don't sing a whole lot on my own.....x_x
