It's the 15th day of the school year, and I'm staying home. Self-preservation won out over my guilt at calling in sick, especially after I found myself kneeling over the toilet at 3:00 this morning.

Reality check: I did the right thing. There's no way I could function as a teacher in my current condition. I will not get fired for calling in sick.

Reality or not, this totally blows.
