Jack Has Smarts!
Okay, so I knew he was a smart guinea pig, but Jack has confirmed taken it to another level today! These last few days I have been trying to toilet-train him somewhat. A couple days ago my dad mentioned to me that he knows Jack is clean for the most part, but he has some issues with the little guy when he sleeps or rests near his poop pile. At least Jack knows not to go outside his own territory so when he roams around outside his area he will hold it. So I told my dad I'll see what i could do and this is what I came up with: instead of using the ramp as an incline, I decided to make it as a connection between one point of his suite (his resting area) to the other point (his bathroom). One area has a blanket for him to rest on and one has one of those 'beds' I bought some time ago. I guess it helps that I showed him that I will keep his area clean if he uses the bathroom in one particular spot :P Today I noticed Jack making the connection between where to relax and where to do his business :) I love my little guy.
