I don't often do this kind of thing, but meh. Whatever. It looked kinda fun.

This is from a photograph my mom took of the irises that grow in her yard. I have clones of these growing in my best friend's yard. Mom got them from her mom, who got them from her mom, who got them when she married and moved to Tennessee. They are Iris germanicus and I use this one when I'm a) feeling soft around the edges, b) feeling rather southern c) talking about my offspring, or d) as Comrade Babochka. If you don't know about Comrade Babochka, don't ask.

This one was made by
bubbles_san and the text is pretty self-explanatory. See, the first time I ever felt lust in my pants for a male person was this particular episode of TOS. I had to pick the ONLY GAY ONE, didn't I?

This one was made by
kilala_10. I've been a long-time Kirk/Spock/McCoy shipper because... Damn. There is a point at which subtext becomes text. My mom is in denial about this. I also use this one when I'm feeling a sense of friendship, camaraderie, or community.

Aaah, yes. This one's by
kira_bouviea. I'm writing this series that began as a one-shot and then kind of exploded into this whole universe. In said series, Joanna McCoy makes friends with a little Vulcan boy about a year older than she is. She discovers the path of logic and more or less sticks to it in order to control her temper so she won't get into trouble. At one point, and I've forgotten when, she says to her friend, "It ain't logical." I use this one when I'm feeling illogical or when I feel the phrase is appropriate.

HA-HA! The Bowl! This one is by
mangotrills See, she drew this cracky weird picture of Spock swimming in a bowl of cereal because the learning pods in the movie reminded her of cereal bowls. After seeing this, I wrote it into my story because it was just that awesome. Jo thinks of her Vulcan friend every time she eats cheerios. I use it for talking about food, Judaism (because Spock is doing the Vulcan salute... it's a long story best told by
Leonard Nimoy), or if I'm feeling silly.
