Back In Black
So...I got to go to Newberg/Portland for the weekend, and it felt like home to me. I could be away from that place for 10 years and still know where all my faves are.
So, the weekend started off with Me visiting Kathleen at her apartment and then I gave my cousin, Jodee, a tour of the campus so she wouldn't feel lost the next day. Then we ordered pizza (yummy!) and I was picked up by Ben, Scotty, and Angela for a fun filled night. We headed to Beth's place (it was her roomie's b-day *love to Lauren*) and then we left a bit early to kick it at Steven's place. I actually had a grand time. I just sat and chilled and me and Kristen, (did I spell that right?) we laughed at the nerdiest things. I love being a nerd. :) I met Ben's bro for the first, and probably last, time. The only thing missing was Danimal! I was really looking forward to seeing him again but I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
Saturday I woke up (with the hotty Scotty right next to me!) and I went to the hotel to wait for Jodee. I also made a special trip to Mac to visit with an ex-boyfriend. I love him as a friend but he has a hard time being mine, he says he still loves me and is waiting for me. So, our visits always have a hint of awkwardness. After that Jodee and I went for Thai food, which I love! And then we got all gussied up for a night on the town. We went to Papa Hyden's for dessert and then we hit up FX for a night of dancing (but not with any boys!!!) The next day we went to church and then hit the road to come back to B-ville.
Man-oh-man, I wish I could just stay up there........
