Reason: Ice cream with a mate
Explain: The other night I was out having icecream with a friend (male)... about 1.5 hours into the evening he gets a call from his mate... He says: "hey mate can I call you back later tonight? Yeah.. I'm just out on a date at the moment... Cheers, bye"
Confusion: +100000000 I thought we were just mates getting ice cream?!?!
Question: Should it be stated before the night commences that it is a date? Or at least in the first hour? Or am I going crazy? As far as I'm concerned... Icecream isnt a first date. But I could be wrong. HELP!!!
