I can't even believe how much better this summer is compared to last summer already.
-work's going sweet: ie. got a 'promotion', and a raise! and I get to clean bathrooms (fuck painting...it sucks)
-going down to the D to see Manda
-going down to the D to see Sergey too
(I love my friends)
-'family' parties at Ron's
-hiding from the cops at the park
-making pancakes, grilling and fruit salads
-running down the streets barefoot
-puzzles
-going to Kensington
-89x birthday bash (see paragraph below for more about this one)
-Chris Carrabba
-vacation in NC in 2 weeks!
-getting the official OK to go to New Zealand
So this past weekend I went to the 89x birthday bash in Detroit with Sergey. It was so amazing. Its hard to describe what an awesome night I had. We got there a little late b/c Sergey had to work but we didn't miss anyone big. The bands played on 3 stages, one outside and 2 inside. First stop was Hawthorne Heights. They were pretty good but not many people were getting into them. I loved them though and would definetly see them again. Next we saw The Stills, eh, alright. They were outside and it was a little rainy so we didn't stay out too long. Went in to get out of the rain and got seats for Dashboard. SO AMAZING. They were better this time around. And Chris is so nice to look at. They played some stuff off their new cd but mostly old stuff so i knew it all. And sang along like the dork that I am. They played for a little over an hour then we headed outside to see AFI. HOLY SHIT! AFI was so sweet. I experienced my first mosh pit, and I have the bruises to prove it. We got right up next to the stage to try to avoid being trampled. They put on an amazing show. The crowd of people in AFI was slightly different than in Dashboard. Haha, we didn't quite fit in with our Holister/AE/Abercrombie lookes...but whatever. They were sweet anyways.
I wanna do it again.
So my way of handling relationships is going well. Don't think, just let it flow. I worry about things less and I'm having the time of my life. It's a hard way to live after always being the worry-wart but surprisingly, it's working.
Slow down, this nights a perfect shade of dark blue...
