It is grilling season.... enjoy some squid bits

Calamari- stuffed with a bit of chorizo, brushed with olive oil, salt, ground chilis, and a bit of garlic, then grilled over coals with some lovely Italian oregano from my garden. I enjoyed a few skewers this evening, with a mint julep and a salad of fresh arugula from my garden, dressed with lemon juice and just a touch of pepper, while sitting on my front porch with a book and candles watching the next storm roll in. Completely enjoyable, if a little warm-- almost perfect, in fact.
Coming up this week-- perhaps a trip up North for a pint or two of Guinness and dinner, getting up early Monday morning for a new hire orientation, and another trip to St. Louis for the second to last opera (A Little Night Music this time), to hopefully see my mom's show, and do something for Father's day with my family. Also will be hopefully picking up some plants from my uncle's house. Tuesday, I am picking up something fun off craigslist. Hrmmm... not sure what else... probably something. Wish I had not slept in this morning, it is making going to bed very difficult!
