Oy, it's been a while!
Well the biggest news I have is that I just bought a car, officially today.
'03 Ford Escape with 46k miles. Lots of nifty new features. Fun to drive, decent mileage, and very versatile. If it is even half as good to me as the Mercury (in terms of survivorship and longevity), it will be worth every penny I'm paying for it!
The white car is going the way of many other loyal-till-death cars, and will find a charity home fairly soon.
It was time.
Pictures will follow soonish.
Solvency is a wonderful, wonderful thing. Really.
Work is keeping me busy, busy, busy--often my lunches happen in my office. The dogs are happy and Shadow is finally getting fat and shiny!
Flip and Stir-Fry are still a little confused by Lindsey being gone. It always takes them a few minutes to go into her room, like they are hearing her say "no," then realizing that she isn't there.
Finally had some dental work done that I have been needing for a while--all precipitated by a broken tooth. And then subsequent fun with convincing the insurance company to process the claims under the correct policy (the one *with* dental insurance, through work, instead of the one without dental that I purchased way back when and has been CANCELLED for quite a while). Nice try BCBS, but you still have to pay the damn claims.
Many travels here and there, mostly to Rolla/St. Louis, but also to Nashville to sing at my cousin's wedding (promised her before she even had a fiance), and Omaha because my company is buying another hotel there. Omaha has grown and changed from what I remember from my previous visit at 10-12 years of age. It resembles a city. A real city! Did not have a chance to sample steak, or find out if the best steakhouse still exists, but I'm sure that I will have many opportunities in the future to do so.
I am almost to the point where I need an assistant. Eek. Manager KTY.
I need a catbert, too.
