SGA #4.14 Harmony (episode review)

FWIW (and that may not be much as I'm falling asleep again and hardly capable of coherent thought, lol), here's what I thought of tonight's episode:

Okay, first of all, cross-fandom squeee here:  The young actress who played Harmony was also in an episode of Supernatural! She played the straight-razor-wielding murderer Melanie Merchant In Provenance (episode #1.19).  Here is a picture of her from that episode.  I *thought* she looked familiar...

Anyway the banter between her, John and Rodney was pretty funny stuff.  Love this one in particular (paraphrasing as I don't remember the exchange word for word):

Harmony (to John): You just let him complain incessantly?
John: I guess I'm used to it by now.

Wow, she really is a little brat.  I figured she wouldn't like Rodney... she eats John's Powerbar and tries to blame it on him.  Did I not see that coming? lol

Rodney did not seem all too happy with the fact that Harmony was ...ahem... falling for John.  He brings up the "kirking" and that she is perhaps the most mature alien woman that John could get involved with? Heh...

Big sis doesn't want little sis to become queen, so she hires genii guy to take her out? Okay, I have to admit I saw that one coming a mile away, too.  If that's a little harsh, then I'll just say it wasn't totally unexpected.

Rodney saves Harmony's life by shielding her so now she's got eyes for him! And he looks oh so uncomfortable about that.  LOL.  I liked how John saved the day by taking her pendant and unleashing "the beast" upon those genii guys.  Go, John!Ancient!Gene!

Big sis is found out and is being hauled off to jail! Hurrah! Harmony is the queen and she shows off a painting made to honor John and Rodney and their heroic actions.  Not bad likenesses of her and John, but Rodney himself looks a bit abstract there, heh heh....

Overall I'd say the ep was pretty predictable in spots but the banter was flying full speed ahead.

supernatural, stargate atlantis, stargate: atlantis: rodney, stargate: atlantis: john
