Thank God!
The first guy called me back and was totally understanding. He's going to let me a have double room for the same price as the twin for the month. And I'm so happy that I just have to make one move and I'm set. He said that the neighborhood is great and we're like 500 feet from an El stop.
Tracy is a wonderful friend who was going to let me crash with her even though she hasn't unpacked her room- She has now agreed to help me schlep all of my shit to the other side of town. I'm so grateful that I have someone here, and on top of that she'll help me move :)
