The estate tag sale I went to on Sat. with my sister

I had a wonderful weekend! On Saturday morning Gregg had to mow his Grandma's yard so my sister drove me a couple of miles up the road to an area called Hollyview Forest. I read in the friday paper that there was going to be an "estate tag sale" in a house there because the woman was moving to Ridgecrest Retirement Center. The ad also said there would be lots of glassware, vintage clothes, furniture, silver, advertising collectibles, and many other items. There were lots of people there and every room in the house was full of items for sale! Upon walking in the door, I spotted three boxes of albums, regular albums, 33 1/3 vinyls, and 45 singles. I looked through all of them and bought a few jazz 33 1/3 that I thought Gregg might like. I also bought a Liberace one to sell on ebay in the future. There were several 45s that I bought - John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Wings, David Bowie, The Monkees, and some random one I accident bought.
In the dining room I found a box full of old cards and there was a set of lovely vintage picture cards with ladies in old-fashioned bathing suits and various silly pictures that were wonderful! Then I found 5 BEAUTIFUL shimmery, old pillows in shades of green, orange, and yellow. And I found a handpainted candle that had a scene on it with a girl and boy and trees that was really cute. In one of the bedroom closets I found an old Beau Brummel 100% silk tie that is worth at least $6 and another tie that was brightly colored and very psychedelic looking. I also found a HUGE handcarved (with beautiful details) picture frame perfect for my Lady of Shalott painting and another small frame that looks old. In addition to all that I found 50 rolled up posters of Japanese art depicting lovely nature scenes with birds and japanese inscriptions. They are BEAUTIFUL and I am going to try to sell them one at a time on ebay. Here is the crazy part - I bought all of that stuff for only $15!!!! Isn't that crazy? I am going to make at least $100 profit on the three items I plan on selling, and I will probably make more than that! I wish I would have had more money because there were VERY OLD metal frames for only $10 each that were HUGE and very ornate, beautiful silver pieces ranging from $5 up to $20, sets of china for $25 that were very old and handpainted, original art for $4, lots of vintage clothing that was from the 50s and 60s... I wish I had money so I could have bought it all!
