LOST: Solitary S1E9

Sayid episode! woohoo! I also love Sayid episodes.

I do love most of the characters but my favorite episodes are Locke, Sayid, Hurley, (and from later episodes Desmond, Juliet, Ben, and Eko).

In Sayid's flashback, we see him torturing people! fun! He has to interrogate his long lost love, Nadia.

He doesn't have the heart to torture her. He sneaks in food for her. He shoots himself to make it look like she attacked him so she could escape.

Last episode, Sayid was disgusted with himself for torturing Sawyer. He walked off to explore the island. He finds a cord, follows it and gets trapped. Someone has tied him up and is asking about Alex (my icon!).

It's Danielle Rousseau, the French chick from the transmission! She has an underground Bunker!

She tortures Sayid to try to find information about Alex.

Rousseau starts to trust Sayid and talks about how her team crashed on the island 16 years again. She talks about the Others being the carriers, the Black Rock. Rousseau hasn't seen the Others but she hears them whispering. I always thought this was weird. Really? For 16 years she hasn't seen any Others? Unless she mostly stays in her bunker, it doesn't make sense.

Sayid fixes her Rousseau's music box, which hasn't worked in many many years.

Rousseau also says there's no such thing as monsters, but in Season 5, we know she seems the Smoke Monster kill her people. Hmmmm

We find out that Rousseau killed her team because they were "sick". Hmmm. She seems mighty deranged.

She ends up trusting Sayid and not killing him. Whew. She even lets him go. She tells Sayid that Alex was her child. We assume Alex is dead, but she's not not.

Ethan has been hunting with Locke. Nothing weird about him! It is the first time we see him.

Ethan and Locke found golf clubs. Hurley thinks everyone needs something to do so he builds a golf course. This gives people fun, something entertaining to do with their time. We see Michael ignoring Walt a bit, still trying to figure out that being a dad means you need to put your kid first.

Michael is too busy playing golf to realize that Walt left to go hang out with Locke. Michael doesn't want him to but Walt is drawn to Locke because Locke actually treats him like a person and not just a kid.

Everyone is having fun golfing. Charlie's mad he's not winning but he's whiny. Sawyer comes out of the woodwork to place bets on the game. Kate says "I'll take that action." hint hint.

The episode ends with Sayid hearing whispers.
