LOST: Walkabout S1E4

This is a Locke-centric episode. I love Locke's episodes. There's always a really cool reveal with Locke's previous life and something cool on the island.

On the island, Locke is acting like he's a survivalist. He's got a case of hunting knives, and he kills a boar.

Off the island, we learn that he is in a wheel chair, in an office job with a jerky boss. He seems to have a girlfriend, then we learn it's some sort of thing where he is paying $89.95 an hour to talk to her. He bought her a ticket to Australia to do the Walkabout but she won't go with him. He goes, and the guy running the walkabout won't let him on because Locke's in a wheel chair. Locke screams, "Don't tell me what I can't do!" a bunch of times throughout the episode.

The monster also sees Locke. They stare at each other, then go their separate ways. Locke has a way with the island and the island has a way with Locke. Locke couldn't use his legs before he arrived on the island and when he woke up he could move them.

Other things that happened were the beginnings of Charlie and Hurley's friendship. I always liked those moments, even if Charlie isn't my favorite. Hurley's awesomeness overshadows it and brings out the good in Charlie.

Why does Michael asks Sun, one of the only people that doesn't speak English, to watch Walt? I know they have a connection since he saw her bathing but really?

Boone notices Rose has been sitting all alone for days. He tells Jack to go talk to her. Jack asks if she wants to say a few words about her husband who died on the plane. Rose says no, her husband isn't dead. Jack says he was in the tail section, we don't see the tail section but they are obviously dead. Rose says they are probably saying the same thing about us.

Also, something's up with Jack. Jack sees a man in his suit walking around that looks just like his dead dad, whose dead body was on the plane.
Something's up with Jack. Something's up with Jack.
