(no subject)
oh man. this was great. last night someone struck up a conversation about work, and I had no idea this person worked in the animal facilities on campus.
I've been having a TON of problems with people not doing their jobs over there... like the higher ups have been delaying shit that I seriously need to get done now. I've been waiting since december to use this facility for a simply procedure with meeces... anyway. This kid starts talking about the facilities, I kinda freak cause I just finished my bottle of cognac I was nursing all night, then someone mentions the bane of my existence recently. I go with the, oh don't get me started routine and start to explain my situation... and he comes out right away and says the name of the guy that has been dicking me around for the past few weeks. UUGGGHHH!!!! It was kind of refreshing to have someone agreeing with me, though nothing was solved in reality. Apparently this guy has been there for 25 years and such, and is basically untouchable. So he just spends his days doing nothing. And trying to maintian his nothingness. Fuck man. No regards to the fact that (our lab especially) we have federal funding and are under massive pressure to get stuff done.
