STRESS-noun
1. Physical, mental, or emotional strain or tension
2. A situation, occurrence, or factor causing this
Somehow, in all of the college brochures that you read, the one fact that is never mentioned about college is the immense stress that always winds up happening within the last month of a semester. All of your professors pile on homework, projects, tests, lab reports, and the like with no thought about whether you might have a life or other work to do.
And most college students procrastinate, like I am.
I have had a six page story (written the night before), a thousand word paper (written hours before), and a three page paper (still unwritten and the book it is about unread). But somehow they always get done. I find I work best under heavy pressure. I don't know why.
I can handle it. No biggie. I laugh in the face of words like 'preparation' and phrases like 'the early bird catches the worm.'
