Getting screwed by GM (General Motors)

Jun 10, 2014 12:34

Been fighting with GM since May 27th about our 2004 Saturn Ion that is part of the their big recall.  It's so frustrating what big corporations like that can get away with. They have billions upon billions of dollars, get huge tax breaks, get a bailout from the government, and because of that bailout, feel they are not responsible for these cars.

The CEO and president are doing a in the media talking about the safety of their customer's and wanting to do right by them; but it is empty words. Thier GM supervisors and GM customer service is just a circular loop of false information, excuses, and transferring to someone else.

So far GM has told us:
"It's your fault for not driving it."
"GM is choosing not to participate in your repair."
"You should have taken it to a dealership before the recall was announced." (Saturn dealerships closed in 2010-2011)
"No, we still will not fix your car. But you know, we are offering employee pricing on new GM cars for anyone affected by the recall."

I'll go into more detail later when I am not so angry. If I write about it now it will be unbearably ranty.
