It's time for you to know what i'm doing, not what quizzes i'm taking...
Recent random stuff. I got my 2nd film paper back yesterday and i got a B+ on it which I feel I don't deserve. I thought i was gonna get like a D on that paper because I put like no effort into it and i thought it was totally scattered. Meanwhile, Quinn got a B on a paper which I thought was certainly an A. So I feel even worse about my grade. Boo. I watched the OC on thursday without kara for the second week in a row, and I think that sucks. I mean I understand, it's fine, but sad. I miss last semester when we'd spoon and watch it every week. Ah well, things change I suppose. Last wednesday (the tenth) was Quinn's and my 2-month "mesiversary"and it was wonderful :-) We went to Grasshopper again, which is like my favorite restaurant. Quinn's a good date which is cool, because he's the only guy I've ever gone on an actual date with. I ordered my new cell phone online, the Sony Ericsson T637 (which looks like this and is described like this. Very cute camera phone, I'm so excited to get rid of my broken-ass ghetto phone that I have to use a rubber band to keep shut :-)
Yesterday, I woke up in a shitty mood and was grumpy all day. I almost fell asleep at work because I hate that place. People treat you like shit when you work there and you're supposed to want to do your job there, right? So I was supposed to go to the Armor for Sleep/The Snake the Cross the Crown show last night but I just didn't feel up to it, I didn't wanna be in close quarters with people I don't know, I dunno.
Soooo Quinn took me shopping :-) I got sweet Roos - they're white and light blue and safety orange like these but with safety orange instead of pink, and dark blue around the heel in the back. so cute. only $20 at Marshall's. And then I got this shirt at American Eagle, which is weird for me because button downs usually don't work in the uh...chest area for me but this one is super cute :-) And then I got this t-shirt at the gap but in green, but i think i'm gonna return it...it's kinda weird looking on me...I dunno. Anyway, Quinn got a new pair of jeans at marshalls which are...GASP...the right length on him and look really nice. and new pair of sneakers, these brown converses which are more sneaker, less allstar than his other converses. And he got a sweet long-sleeved baseball tee at the GAP which is green with dark blue sleeves. So yay for shopping.
Then I took some carb blockers and we went to CPK, cuz we're so cute and corporate ;). seriously, the california pizza kitchen is so delicious it's like a sin. I got this wildmushroom pizza which was AMAZING, and Quinn got oriental chicken pizza i think, it even had the little crispy noodles on top :-). Then we went to see the incredibles which was way awesome. I wasn't sure that I was going to like it but it was way funny, like we laughed out loud a bunch of times. So we recommend it :-)
So yeah, that was my day yesterday, now let me tell you about what's coming up: I have a Dante paper due by noon on Monday, and I'm not really crazy about any of the topics. so I guess we'll see that I end up writing about. After this semester, 3 if not 4 of my apartmentmates are leaving. So Quinn's most likely moving into the room next to mine, but if you or someone you know wants to move into the other rooms, let me know. I have to file the paperwork by Dec. 10th.
This Wednesday, Quinn's mom is picking us up and we are going to upstate new york to Quinn's grandma's, with a stop on the way at his aunt's in western mass. I'm super nervous about this. I always worry that people's family members will dislike me (maybe it's because i am so abrasive and judgmental myself that it's hard to believe others aren't as well). So yeah. I'm nervous. which is doubly bad cuz then i'll be all quiet and shy which is lame when you're trying to get people to think you're an intelligent and fascinating girl. oy.
then we come back from thanksgiving and monday is the Gravity (the humor magazine at 'deis which Quinn is head of) Coffeehouse at Chum's (the coffeehouse at brandeis). Which should be cool because AJ and Cohen's band ventura is playing and it'll be cool to see that. I'm gonna videotape it with my camera. Whoo. sweet.
Then I have my final paper due for italian film on the tenth. Going to Hartford, CT to see my parents at the show they're doing at the convention center there, and also my aunt Joanne and Uncle Grant from CT who're also visiting them there. Should be nice to see them, I miss my mom hella bad. Then my final Dante paper is due the 15th by email. Then my 21st freaking birthday is Friday the 21st. It seems like, since I can't have a party here because of what happened the last time we had a party, I want to get all my friends together and go out somewhere to dinner, and all I ask of you guys is to buy me a drink. If you don't want to give me/can't afford to give me a gift, this is awesome for you. Then I have my final conspiracy paper due the 20th, which is when the final in that class is. so that's okay. i like how my finals each have a nice 5-day gap between them.
Then, prolly around the 23rd-ish, Quinn and I are going up to Maine for a week, to do christmas with his family since mine will be in Italy :(. Then around the 29th we're going down to NJ. FINALLY! So guys - new years party at my place. The parents won't be home until the 4th. So this is awesome. We can all get dressed up like adults. I'm thinking about making it a black&white affair. let me know what you guys think. We can even get champagne and stuff! Whoo! Then prolly around the 6th or 7th we're going back up to 'deis until classes start. but SBM- while I'm home we have to do a RedWhite&Blue trip, and lots of diner nights and an applebee's storytime since i'm missing the thanksgiving one - hopefully it won't be as crazy as the one i put together for thanksgiving last year! So yeah, that's all I got that's coming up. busy busy stuff.
