So things continue to be so busy in my life. I do believe in just a few months, it will be a full year since I balanced my check book...any suggestions on that? What does a person do when they get so far behind? Heh, guess I could open a new account and let the other one close...? Anyway, that's not why I am here.
I have yet to learn anything about RA being the reason for the symptoms I have had for nearly two years, but I have at least had some validation from an x-ray on my neck in regards to MY hunch and MY feeling that something isn't right. I had told my rheumy a couple months ago that my neck had been sore since April -- every freaking day. He suggested it was just "the typical tension neck," whereas I felt it was more than that and in fact possibly arthritic, but he poo-pooed the idea and that was that.
I saw my GP two weeks ago and when I told her about my neck, she ordered an x-ray. The x-ray revealed "moderate osteoarthritis," which apparently is not such a great, nor common thing in someone my age. My rheumy is no longer in the country otherwise I'd call him up and let him know about this. I am seeing a physical therapist for my neck and feet as my blood tests from a few months ago were still "normal." I continue to be annoyed with my other arthritis symptoms with no clear cause (according to the tests, that is...)
There is a (small?) possibility that I will get a new position at work in which I will not only get a pay raise but will also have the opportunity to earn my internship hours and therefor graduate way sooner than anticipated. My current internship site is not offering me enough direct contact hours with my clients, but this new position at my job would...please universe, let this happen!! This would mean an end to my 55-60 hour work weeks as well as the daily commutes to Kent and back to Seattle! Crossing my fingers!
So tired, but hoping to check in and write here more often. I know I say that everytime I write here, but it's always my true intention.
Plus, I gotta write about the wonderful Dresden Dolls show I saw in Seattle this weekend, and have so many entries by others to catch up on!
