I managed through 2008 with few complaints and limited grumbles. It sucked for many, but I tried to make the most of it.
This morning my dog was diagnosed with bone cancer.
Fortunately he is in good spirits. The thing about that dog is that he has never outgrown being a puppy. Its hard for me to believe that hes 12.
Unfortunately, options are limited. Chemo has very limited success rates in canines, is absurdly expensive and will just make him sicker and miserable.
They are hesitant to amputate the leg because of existing hip displasia.
They gave us some pain meds and anti-inflamitory meds. We have a meeting with the veterinary oncologist next week.
Merry Christmas.
