News and a bit of other stuff

After yesterdays rocket it seems even more how determined our 'brothers' in Hamas to avoid anything resembling peace. Obviously they are aware we have elections next week and doing this sort of fiasco isn't going to get Israeli citizens to vote left-wing.
Then again we are talking of the people who steal from UN aid (another link), so what was I ( Read more... )

actually for us it's more diverse - because we have more than two parties. We have the insane right-wing, mostly religious, who more or less think that "all Arabs are better off in the sea" (they don't say it - but their supporters do. They even had a facebook group named "I too want to make Gaza the biggest parking lot in the middle east" - so kidding or not, you understand there is a bit of truth somewhere underneath those statements.)

In addition they are also religious - which means they do not believe in separation of belief from government and think that their views must be enforced on everyone else. God forbid we have public transport or open shops on Saturdays and Holidays! And God forbid Jewish blood gets tainted by marriage to a non-Jew (because you see, in this country, if you want to get married you can only do it the orthodox way, which does not allow for mixed marriages. In fact they sometimes make it hard on even actual Jews to prove their 'cred'. A civil marriage? Go abroad, you heathen!) or even worse, can you imagine those terrible seculars eating non-kosher food like shrimps, not to mention selling them and serving them in restaurants!

On the other hand we have the self-righteous extreme left nutters who, in the name of peace and political correctness often do insane things.

Thanks, we're okay. Always were. Meanwhile, at least.

Oh I wanna join that! :D
Liberman's not religious AND he's into that parking lot thingy.

Apart from that, we just need to decide which dick will feel worse up our ass: the muslim fanatics' or our own.

Right... Liberman isn't religious... But his daughter is (just look at the pictures - not to mention to topic of those stories link 1 link 2)
But I guess I can't convince you. I just hope that if he indeed gets all that he gets in polls (which you know I don't want) I might be wrong and he will do some good for secular people, especially Russians that voted for him. Secular wedding and making everyone serve sound like good ideas. But I don't think it will happen.

I don't think I'm gonna vote Liberman. I like his ideas, but he doesn't seem reliable to me.

I hate Shas, but I'll have to tolerate them, because arabs are the bigger threat right now.
But trust me, if we weren't constantly at war, I'd go left all the way.
